Oliver Ambs has been with BDO since 2001. Since 2009 he has been responsible for the whole of Switzerland within the Corporate Finance department for the area of "company valuation".

He has prepared a large number of valuation reports for national and international companies, both private and listed. Such appraisals are used in the context of public purchase offers (fairness opinion, valuation opinions in the case of minimum prices), for private purchase and sale processes or for tax issues. Other valuation topics include purchase price allocation or impairment testing in accordance with national and international accounting standards such as Swiss GAAP FER, IFRS and US GAAP.

As an expert in business valuation, he writes valuation reports for national and international arbitration courts and ordinary courts as a party or neutral expert. In this capacity he also acted as Expert Witness before the High Court in London.
