Raffaello Pietropaolo has headed the VAT department since 2016 and is deputy director of the Federal Tax Administration. He is also a member of the "Working Party No. 9 on Consumption Taxes" at the OECD. He completed his law studies in 1998. From 2000 to 2008, he worked in the legal department of the VAT department, moved to an international consulting firm and headed the VAT department in Berne until 2016. In addition, he has been head of the Disciplinary Commission of the Bern/Jura Football Association since 2010.
