With the introduction of AEOI with developing and emerging countries, Switzerland is committing itself to international standards in the fight against financial crime, tax evasion, money laundering and corruption.
The Federal Council therefore proposes that the AEOI also be agreed with the following eight states: Armenia, Cameroon, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Rwanda, Senegal and Tunisia.
The revision of the AEOI Act is currently being discussed by Parliament, whereby the list of AEOI partner states is to be delegated to the Federal Council. This would render the current proposal obsolete.
Otherwise, the Federal Council plans to submit the dispatch on the introduction of the AEOI with these partner states to Parliament in fall/winter 2026.
