Federal Council adopts dispatch on double taxation agreement with Zimbabwe

At its meeting on November 5, 2025, the Federal Council adopted the dispatch on the DTA with Zimbabwe.

With this DTA, Switzerland can expand its network of DTAs in southern Africa.

The DTA largely corresponds to the OECD's model DTA and Swiss treaty practice. Before the agreement can enter into force, it still has to be approved by parliament. In Zimbabwe, the competent authority has already approved the agreement.
