In future, the Swiss family foundation should also be able to be used for estate and asset planning. Burkart argues that many Swiss families are turning to foreign foundations to achieve precisely this goal.
On the other hand, the National Council rejected a parliamentary initiative to introduce trusts into the Swiss legal system. It is better to rely on the Swiss family foundation than on financial vehicles from abroad.
